bio

i was born in the great state of new jersey to immigrant parents from hong kong and taiwan. because of my family's business, i was also raised in hong kong. always in the arts, i was a painter in the beginning, but put down the brush and picked up a camera.

i graduated from the rhode island school of design, where i received a bfa in photography. i currently live as well as work in new york city and hong kong. having grown up in two countries with their unique cultures, this pan-pacific life has influenced much of my imagery.

i am an avid shooter of all formats; both digital and film. beside taking pictures, i consult with many professional photographers and artists on streamlining their workflow with digital techniques. i also contribute as a field technician for the mamiya america corporation/profoto on industry events as well as the eddie adams workshop.
